Houston is the fourth-largest city in the country, and among one of the most diverse in the world.
It’s no wonder, more and more people have decided to flock to the Space City to eat our food and enjoy our hospitality. And we don’t blame them. We think we’re pretty awesome, too.
But before you pack your bags and get on over here, there are a few things to know about Houston will take you from tourist to local in no time.
Here is a list of some highlights:
  1. The humidity is year-round and does not let up even in winter months.
  2. We used to have a theme park called AstroWorld. It permanently closed in 2005 and we’re still not over it.
  3. Just like any other Texan, we love barbecue, Whataburger, Buc-ee's, Blue Bell Ice Cream, Selena and queso.
  4. Breakfast tacos are one of our most holy meals. It’s the best way to have breakfast in Houston.
